[[ 61 ]] ANTI-JERK

Sometimes people need to be confronted about being total jerks.

It’s an evolutionary thing. The only way that we learn how to properly behave is through feedback. This is how we learn to be harmonious with our friends and to other people.

When you’re not good at it and you get negative social feedback all the time, yet you don’t adjust – it can be a sign of mental illness, stupidity, a lack of education, maturity or the ability to process critical thinking.

For most people, as you get older – you continue to get better at communicating. You've gone through this “feedback loop’ several times by now, and you learn how to better navigate your social environment. You become more adept at selecting the conflicts you're prepared to take on, while avoiding unnecessary jousting.
Meanwhile, your social paradigm shifts as you start to apply some wisdom to your own perspectives and how you interact with others.

Over time, you learn to not be a jerk. Nice!
But you should also be learning how not to judge yourself by the opinions of others. Listen, and apply what seems reasonable… then, discard the rest. It is a projection.  They too are trying to work things out.

When you can suffer humility without losing faith in yourself, and you can see the areas where you just need to develop – you can forgive yourself for your mistakes.
And in doing so, you realize that you can forgive others.  ….. Which helps you to not be a jerk.

It’s a nice path of personal evolution when it works.
It contributes to a better quality of Human.
